I am currently sailing a 2000 lb 21' swing keel boat that works well, however, being that I am always looking to better my sailing life - I want something heavier and bigger - sound familiar? The small marina that I use limits me to shallow draft - 24". Does anyone know the larger boats that fit me. I know of the Seaward 26RK but will not spend that kind of $$$$$. I have read the sites inre the S2 7.9 that weigh in at 4800 lbs and draw only 1 ft, (swing keel up). The 1980's ones are priced at $10-15K and usually come with a double axle trailer. Can you name some other shallow draft boats that I could consider? Thanks.

Tom- Take a look at Ericson 23 or 25's. These are older boats, but were built solid and sail great. Rob Hessenius

24" is awfully shallow. Have you looked at the cat boats? They tend to be pricey, beamy and not too much headroom down below, but they are very nice looking in a traditional way, and surprisingly commodious for their length.

Hunter -260 or 26

I think the hunter-240-260 or 26 all draw under 2 ft with the keel up. Nick
