Is the center board in my Oday 25 suppose to retract all the way up into the keel stub? When retracted my center board still hangs down about an inch at the rear of the keel stub. I'm going to trailer the boat and the keel will be sitting on the trailer's keel plate. Am I going to break something? Any comments appreciated.

Hang down?

Mine does not. I suspect that the attachment that you have is interfering. It's possible if and when you set the hull on the trailer you might jam the board in the trunk and have difficulty in getting it to swing down again. I originaly had a rope/cable combination lanyard to raise and lower the center board. I replaced it with quarter inch line and have had no trouble with it for a couple of years. Have you checked to see if you can push the CB into the trunk by hand? If you can, then maybe you won't have any trouble.

On my 26

On my O 26 it hangs down just a little but when I set it on the trailer it goes all the way up (inside the trunk). Some times I have to pry it loose when I lift it off of the trailer or it will get stuck in the trunk. I lift mine off of the trailer rather then water launch. On the trailer the weight of the boat rests on the trunk.
