Is there somebody aware of a swimming platform (fiberglass) that can be add to my Hunter 34 (1983). If there is such a platform on the market, would you please give me more details to obtain it. Would you also recommand it? Thank you milotdai@aol.com

Look in the archives. I'm pretty sure i posted the information on the platform. Meet an owner of a 34 who added the platform on the way down the Chesapeake Bay. He and a couple of others hired a person to create the mold. They still probably have it. If you cant locate it email me at mpcsail@aol.com and I can try to dig out the information.

I am owner two of hull #1 - which has the original sugar scoop transom. I am told this was done with input from the factory, and became the model for subsequent hunter transoms. It is integral, sleek, and effectively increases the waterline length, adding hull speed. In spite of making the boat easier to board from a dinghy, and from a dock when backed in, it definitely does not make boarding easier from swimming - in fact - we've had some embarassing moments with guests with inadequate upper body strength to haul themselves out. In any case, I can get the details on who, how and when mine was done - with pics if you are interested. I don't think this mod is for your average do it yourselfer, unless you are real good, get help. Geoff McLaughlin

Tom Manning of Draketails, Inc in Solomons, MD built a mold for a bolt-on swim platform. We pulled three platforms from it -- absolutely the best mod I've ever made to my H34. I don't think Tom is interested in pulling oneseys, but might reactivate the mold if there is enough interest for him to go through setup for 3 or 4. Try his pager at 410-495-0263

I've been trying to get Tom Manning to make me on since January... I've had contact with him on at least four occasions, and he keeps promising to call me back to work it out, but as of my last effort 3 weeks ago, when he promised me he'd call me "next week", I still have heard nothing. So, if one of you guys cracks the code (perhaps it's volume, but he never mentioned that), please include me also as I wanted mine done by the summer... which is why I started with him in January... geez.

Can't seem to get pix from forum
It doesn't show up on photo forum general page but when I do a search under hunter 34 the menu shows transom super scoop or something&when I click on it to open, it goes to a blank page. anyone else have this problem or is it just me?

Hello everyone - Phil is out of the office until Wednesday, August 9th and I can't seem to figure out what the issues are with the images for the H34 Scoop tramsom. It is very strange, you can view them in Microsoft Explorer, but not Netscape. Given that this issue is way over my head, it is going to have to wait until Phil gets back. Sorry and thanks for your patience! Bly

It seems that Charles, Ron, Joe, Andy, Jeff, Foster and me are interested in buying the swim platform for a H34 (total 7). If more people want to join, you are more then welcome. I was able to see all the pictures, I like especially the one of Tom (first one). After everyone been able to see those pictures, lets get together to have everything in place to examine if the platform can be done and at what price. If it continue to be positive, then let's do it! My email is milotdai@aol.com
