Hello, I recently added a swim ladder to my 216 and I found that Windline ladders makes a telescoping model with a much larger mounting bracket. Since I had already bought my ladder on Ebay (It was a West Marine knock off of a Windline)I was able to order the brackets alone from Windline. $20 including shipping. I used a one inch block of Starboard on the inboard side and a tapered 0"-5/16" on the outboard side. Found some 1/4" X 2" wide scrap aluminum stock from a local metal shop that I cut to 7" long for backing plates inside the boat. These longer brackets are not polished stainless but look like a quality plating after trimming and piercing. They are a perfect length without the need to do any extension bracketry. Hope this helps anyone looking to add a ladder.
