Could any of you recommend a good surveyor in Vancouver, BC? I'm looking for one who writes good, detailed reports that include maintenance recommendations and - not one who just checks off the boxes in a form

We've used Western Maritime Surveyors and were quite pleased with the results - it was a fairly typical survey though - I'm pretty sure you're going to find things like maintenance recommedations will be a completely separate issue better handled by a firm that specializes in that

Look in the Boaters Blue Pages for a list of local surveyors but check with your insurance company for a list of approved surveyors first. I've been pleased with the services of DeGroot Marine Surveyors for many years.
