Hi guys,
I'm looking at purchasing a small keelboat (25ish feet) and around the 5-6000 dollar range. I spoke with my insurance broker and a Survey is not required.
In your opinions, is it worth it to spend the money on a survey and haul out on a boat this cheap? The owner has done a fair bit up upgrades to it, it seems like a solid boat and did great on the sea trial. I plan to go through it thoroughly before buying. I have not owned a cruising sailboat before but have spent a fair bit of time on them and know my way around them.
Hopefully this topic hasn't already been covered, I have seen this question asked for larger more expensive boats but not small starter boats.
Thanks for any advice
