Surge brake question.

I am reconditioning and sprucing up my 1986 Zieman sailboat trailer. There is a quick disconect at the tongue for the surge brake line. This is so that when you pull out the tongue you disconect the brake line from the master cylinder. When I went to a trailer parts store, they had everything I needed except this quick disconect. Just like the tongue on the trailer it hasn't been used in years and like the tongue the disconect is frozen solid with rust. Not even Kroil will un-stick it. Since the trailer store has not ever seen one, is it something from an air compressor system? Does anyone else have one of these? And where can I find one.?

Check with heavy truck part suppliers or suppliers of hydraulic parts. My trailer uses a rubber hydraulic line to extend the tongue and found a replacement locally after a groundhog chewed it up.

Be prepared to shell out the big bucks

The quick disconnect for the brake line you are talking about costs alot, like over 100 dollars. Champ car, IRL, ALMS, basically race cars use them at key points in the car so you don't have to bleed the system after doing a 10 minute transmission swap. I wouldn't using anything for an air compressor, those aren't rated to a high enough pressure that brakes use.
