I will be pulling my boat, an 88 hunter 37 legend, out of the water for probably a year or so to do some big repairs. It will be stored away from the marina witch will allow me to do most the work myself. So my concern is building a proper base or pad to place it on. my boat supposably weights about 16k with the keel being 6k of that. The yard i'll be placing it in, is grass with ,ok, drainage. Also after the boat is back in the water i would like to restore the yard to normal. I would like to know what others have done in a similar situation.
also need to know how high the jackstands need to be for this type boat. and how many each side to be safe.
I was thinking a 4' x4'x ? thick concrete where the keel will sit, and maybe some hvac condenser pads to support the stands.
Any ideas would be helpful.
Thanks
Lynn
