Question for Maine Sail

What would be a choice supplier for wiring, connectors and where can I buy a decent crimping tool (Ancor or similar as per your crimper comparison post).

I have an account with Pacer, but I am not sure who makes their stuff as it is not specified.

Thanks

I bought supplies from gregsmarinewiresupply.com and found the prices to be quite resonable, and prompt shipping. I can't speak to the quality, as this was my first marine wire purchase, but all appeared to my untrained eye to be fine. He does not carry tools, but has wire and connectors.

I installed a complete new electrical system in my boat and everything works as it should.

Sailboatowners.com has great prices and the best prices on FTZ crimps and battery lugs.

Genuinedealz.com is also good as is Greg's.

As for a decent crimp tool check out the Pro's Kit Pro Crimp Frame...

Pro Crimp Frame

Heat Shrink Crimp Die Kit (not specifically designed for heat shrink but works)

Red, Blue, Yellow Insulated Die Kit

Thanks MaineSail and GorillaToast.

Capn, you're right, the question was directed, but I am open to any replies. I am looking for a good supplier of quality material. Some do not post the manufacturer, and I don't want to buy second rate stuff - wanna rewire only once.

Thanks!

Try ECS in Mississauga Ontario. They are a wholesaler but do cash sales if over $50. They sell tinned boat cable (same as Ancor) from 16 awg to 4/0 for prices I don't think anyone can beat. I deal with their Victoria branch regularly - as do some local marine stores.
