This seemed an idiotically easy question, but it lingered long enough to consider. And It's better to ask than to assume.
By Mainsail's recommendation, I'm looking at installing a SuperStor 6g water heater to replace the rotted Raritan. The HX out\in is further around the circumference of the cyclinder than that of the Raritan, which requires reaching the hoses around a bit more. This is fine, except that because the hoses run straight into the tank, they will then pass right through the forward part of the storage locker, seriously compromising valuable space - unless I agree to stack gear on top of the hoses.
I figured that I would merely attach bronze elbows at the out\in connections, allowing the hoses to run alongside the tank instead of looping around it.
My question is, would installing the elbows in the lines cause any concerns? Airlocks, flow restrictions, etc? It seems that every install I've seen, the hoses run straight in.
