Saw it in Zimbabwe
We're currently in Zimbabwe visiting with my daughter, who is doing research here. One of the things we planned while here, was chartering a 30' Wharram cat on Lake Kariba, a huge reservoir (24 mi x 140 mi).
I knew nothing of the eclipse, but just happened to wake up at the right time. We were sleeping under the stars on deck. What a show! The night sky came alive when the moon dimmed. All this with crocodiles and hippos right near the boat. Unforgettable!
