Where is a good place to buy some sails for a Sunfish? Do I have to go through a Sunfish Dealer, or is there another sailmaker that makes them. There is a Camp down here in Arkansas that has asked me, I told them I'd research it and find out. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks Tim Welsh

Ebay

I got a new one from Vangaurd last year on EBay. It was one of the 50th Anniversary style, great deal. You could try here too: http://www.teamvanguard.com/boats/m/_general/partslinks.asp

I'm sure there are many options

The chanldery of this site is among them. These are US-made loft sails, so they may be a bit pricier than the pre-made offshore stuff but I'll bet they'll last longer. See link below.

Check with Mfg'r

Check with the manufacturer, Vanguard Sailboats, in Portsmouth, RI. They may cut a volume deal for you if you are assocuated with a camp. http://www.teamvanguard.com

They used to be JSI or Johnston Sails Inc. I've bought generic off-the-shelf Sunfish sails from them before for recreational sailing. They were about half the price of a "stock" sail, which you are required to have if you're racing in a one-design fleet. You should be able to buy online at sailnet.com. Good luck.
