Ok guys, I thought you would like to hear from a sailor I think. The other day in Cancun weather nice with a breeze of 20 to 25 and temp about 82, I took my wife down to the beach to rent a Sunfish. Well, Annie was sitting up front and when I tried to tack, she did not duck fast enough. Fortunately, the boat would not track and we sailed perfectly into the mangroves. At that point, the halyard decided to come loose. She of course was a rather upset with me and I was in the hot seat particualy when a rescue boat came out. I was like a dog with its tail between the legs running showing what skills of a sailor I am. Been drinking too much Tequila

Dave, I admire your honesty, I hope you don't count on luck on a regular basis, Luckily you were only embarrassed from this event. What counts is that you learn from your mistakes. Down the line you may not be so lucky and it could cost you or your wife or someone around you their life. Enjoy a drink after the sailing and travel are over for the day.
