Last weekend I discovered that the forward shower sump pump on my P42 does not completely empty the shallow sump (leaves about 1-2" of water). It has a Rule 800 pump with a Sure Bail float switch. I looked at the switch and found that it shut off at about 1/2 way. The float does not bottom out before shutting off. Is there any to adjust the switch? I looked on the web and found nothing other than the replacement price. Has any one eliminated the float switch and replaced it with a simple on/off switch? Seems like that would be a better set-up.
