I have a problem with the main sail getting stuck coming down. mostly at the top of the mast. Any solutions please.

Lubrication.

release the vang and Cunningham - if you have one.
ease the main sheet
clean the track
lube the track
replace the sail slugs

McLube SailKote will do the trick.

You've received some good answers. if all else fails, attach a light line to the head of the sail that is long enough to reach the deck. Use it to pull the sail down.
