Thanks. Winter can stay away for all I care. You've got to make it a point to get down to AC sometime this summer. I'm buying.Scott T-Bird said:Loved it! I'm wondering if we will have winter this year ... it hasn't arrived yet. With any luck, spring will be early!
Not sure we will see a "real winter", whatever that is here in Virginia this year.Thanks. Winter can stay away for all I care. You've got to make it a point to get down to AC sometime this summer. I'm buying.
Jack, I am curious, what are the flags with the skeleton and the other person? A yacht club flag?
As long as you are having fun I am OK with it. A few folks get upset about pirate flags, but if you note my avatar is Blackbeards flag. In his day he was just doing what he needed to survive and up until the end when he was double crossed by Virginia Governor Spotswood for political gain was reportedly retiring from privateering. At least he went down fighting. It's the Bart Roberts flag. It all started when my dock neighbor (whom I've been friends with for 30 years....before the dock) bought me a red cap because we are both fans of The Life Aquatic. It kind of spread to the rest of our end of the dock. After you officially watched the movie, you were issued a red cap via a "secret ceremony" in the presence of our skull and shrunken head. It kind of took on a life of it's own. People ask the marina staff about it all the time! It's rather funny! Last year I wanted a unique pirate flag and bought the Bart Roberts one and colored the pirate hat red. I then bought 10 more. It has become a major conversation piece. And of course, we love to embellish the story every time someone asks about it. The whole thing is very childish but we get some good laughs out of it!
