I was going to make a run down Erie and spend time with friends at the other end. Blew the head in the diesel during shakedown on my old Oday 27. Now probably won't be cruising any time too soon.

Keys and Bahamas

My wife and I are going to the Keys for two or three weeks and then to the Bahamas for a couple of weeks. Life is good.

We'll be completing the resurrection of our "new", but currently badly worn, O'Day 25. I've found this site quite useful and I'll post some pics as the work progresses. Then it's day sailing on Tampa Bay and surrounding waters and probably a cruise down the coast to Captiva in the fall to take some sailing lessons (how's that for putting the cart before the horse?).

1st Season on the Chesapeake

This is our 1st season on the Chesapeake and are very anxious to explore it. Over the Memorial Day weekend, we did a 2-day sail from the North East River, up the C/D Canal and back without incident, now we want to go further. The majority of the summer will probably be day sailing, but a few multiple day trips are planned, as well. Have fun everyone !!
