Summer Cruise Started

Hey all,
Summer cruise has finally started. After a bunch of sailors meeting up at my house, and having a cookout were now under way. Have four couples on three other boats traveling in a loose group. So far have stayed in the ICW, and just sorta drifted along not in any hurry. Has been some excellent sailing though. Mississippi Sound was excellent sailing, and across Mobile Bay was just awsome. Anchored up in a place called Wolf Bay now, waiting out a little front that contains some thunderstorms. Just a few miles west of the Fla. line. Next stop is Pensacola, where will seperate from buddy boats, be on my own and head offshore. Plan on making Port.St.Joe, Appalachicola, then down towards Tampa. Ultimately Key West, and the Dry Tortugas. Will keep everyone informed as time and the Sprint air card allow.

HEY, Phil. Good to hear that the cruise is going well.. Wish I could have made it.. Mine starts next week.. Delivering a boat from Tampa to Ft. Walton with a couple of old buddies.. Jumping straight from Tampa to Apalachicola then ICW to Panama City.. then maybe outside to Destin, leaving boat in Ft. Walton.. Keeping a close eye on weather the whole time.. Again, glad to hear that yall are doing well .. I wish ya a great trip!

Glad to hear you are out enjoying yourself, keep that close eye on the weather like you said because those storms are producing some nasty weather with waterspouts etc.

Also keep an eye the GOM in general, there is some build up right now that could turn into something to worry about.

We kinda should keep in touch. Should be in Appalachicola bout the same time as you. Gonna just drift along, and visit the popular stops along the way. Plans are to jump off from Applachicola to Tampa/St.Pete. Maybe we can meet up and have a cold one somewhere.

You guys have great trips send some pictures. Phil I haven't seen Monty the past few week ends he was berthed about 5 slips down from me did he move?

Hi Phil,wow you are doing one of my to do trips from Punta Gorda south to Key West and Dry Tortugus,whats you time fram and when will you be in the Charlotte Harbor area,maybe meet up for some cold ones or better I would love to follow along with you but the wife is kind not into sailing too much with these thunder storms all the time.
We were out sailing early yesterday she kept saying maybe its time to head back and when we saw some dark clouds and some rumling she gave the order to go in.
I do have some freinds dieing to make the trip but might not be readt right now,give some more info on your plans.
