Looking for suggestions as to what filler I should use to fill the crack between the keel and hull.

I have a tube of Sikaflex that was from last season however it was left on the boat and was frozen over the winter.

Thank you

Would like more details. Is the "crack" a designed seam between hull and keel? Or is it a failure in the fiberglass laminate or resin putty that covers the seam?

The crack location is the seam connection between the top of the lead keel and where it meets the fiberglass hull.

It's a cosmetic repair. The keel isn't going anywhere...not yet at least.

Thanks

When a keel is attached to the hull, generally most manufacturers use 3M 5200 as a permanent sealant. For a proper seal, it is best once applied to allow the boat to sit for 5-7 days for curing of the 3M 5200. However clean the excess off. Some manufuactures will then either glass and/por epoxy over the seal for cosmetics.

If water is coming into the bilge and it is determined to be a bad seal, then of course you need to find where the water is coming from. In some cases the keel has to come off and be relaid

sounds like the epoxy to fair the keel to the hull needs a little fixing
like you said "cosmetic"
I'd use G Flex epoxy by West Systems....I had a similar situation and used plain ol West System epoxy and it lasted 6 years so last year I put the Flex stuff on and will wait and see
