for a drink holder that will not slide on a flat surface(horizontal) a fat roll of duct tape works really well. i set mine on the cockpit seat.

Here's a classy solution.

A sailing belt buckle/drink holder. She bought it at a boat show. It actually worked quite well.

It depends on the design. The cheap ones won't stick to glass for long, the better ones will stick to any smooth non-porous surface like a leech.

Am I the only guy who can not get a suction cup , cup holder to stick for more than ten minutes.I just bought a new one from west marine and I stuck it to a smooth surface of my Hunter 23. Within ten minutes it fell off. I stuck it back on ten times and it fell off everytime. Is threre a trick to get it to stick on ? Thanks Wally
