Submersible pump

Any recommendations for a good submersible pump for cleaning up the deck of my bust at a marina without running water at my slip?

to get decent pressure pump needs to be at least 1 hp go with a 120 volt electric from lowes or harbor freight

I used my electric pressure washer. Use the right nozzle & low pressure.

Yea, you have to use dock water, but it's only once.

Remember, work smart, not hard....

I wonder if a common home sump pump lowered in the water wouldn't work for both hose or pressure washer.

Probably, home owner type pressure washers don't use a large volume of water.
My little 1,300psi seems to run too long after I turn off the spigot.

Yes, that would work, assuming power is there at his dock. A friend of mine uses a 12V bilge pump hooked up to a garden hose - he just lowers it off the bow with a switch in his hand on the electric wire. One could also purchase a higher pressure 12V "Blaster" washdown pump. Lots of options...Good luck.

We use a 1/4 hp 110 volt ac submersible pump (about $65.00 @ Home Depot) with garden hose fittings hung over the side on a line as an anchor wash/deck wash pump. Also a great emergency bilge pump if you have a generator! Be sure you rinse it thoroughly with fresh water afterwards though; these pumps are NOT salt water resistant.

probably OK, but can't help much more as only have limited experience of those not having a deck.
