Yup, that's the way we pronounce STUMPAH up hee-ah in Maine.. Hope you enjoyed the chuckle... The attached pic shows 2 ( what look like fairleads) found them in a parts box that had come from the PO with my boat.. They are not fairleads since the edges are a 90 degree to the hole and would would chafe. they are not very big, and in 30 plus years of boat ownership I've not seen anything like them..

So, all of you Carnac the Magnificent out there have you any thoughts on what this might be... Thanks Rick

Those are rail mount clamps for a Lifesling hard case.

Yup, typically, a flat strap with two holes would go across the clamp and extend so you could fasten something onto the strap. two of those would hold a BBQ grille?
