Stuffing box

Hi all;
I can't find the specs for the required packing to redo the stuffing box on our Hunter 30T. Anyone have experience with this?

I have a 30T also but I'm no help. I changed over to a LasDrop Gen II.
I think I recently threw away my old plastic stuffing box. Before and after pics:

Suggest you go to Main Sail, link on this site, and check their DIY section for stuffing box. Great step by step instructions on how to: also has recommendations for which type. Hit their web site (which ever one you choose) then they will have sizes based on shaft size. It worked for me.

Re-Packing A Traditional Stuffing Box - Marine How To

The Stuffing Box (click any image to see a larger version) While digging around in some old boat parts boxes I found a stuffing box from an older sailboat. I though it would be a good time to rig it up

We've done a re-pack on a previous boat, but if I remember correctly, the packing come in various dimensions...
