Help, I can omly get 1 piece of packing in my stern gland,there was only 1 piece in there that was worn out, can anyone help me with what should be in a Hunter Legend 355 1992

There's probably one or two more threads still in there, but if the one you got out in worn, you'll be fine replacing that one. You'll be able to tell when you launch. For now, just tighten by hand, not wrench. Mistake most people make is overtightening it, which can actually compromise the entire deal. Launch!

The OE bronze
...gland that I removed in place of the PYY dripless shaft seal had two packings not one. They are separated by a thin metal washer and the splits are located 180 degrees apart. I would advise a second look to make sure you don't have another.
