If you can...

look at the backside of the paneal to see if there are any signs of how it is attached. Might see some screws or signs of adhesive. If it is adhesive, you might have to work at it with some sort of exacto knife. Or go on the Hunter forum... or call the dealer. Rich

use solvent

There is a solvent for 5200 that you spray on and let it sok in for awhile. I can't remeber the name but WM sells it.

Try using a heat gun

Just about every plastic is a thermoplastic. Heat everything up evenly and slowly so the 5200 gets warm. You might be able to use a sharp chisel to pry the panel off. If the pedestal is metal this should be easy. Just get it hot around the ignition panel and keep the ignition panel covered and cool.

Dynamite

Dynamite. That is the only surefire way to remove 5200, and that only does about a 90% job.

Appropriate Solvent, not heat

Buy the solvent here or at WM. It's not voodoo, it just works as intended. Apply at the edge of the bead and chase it in with a thin putty knife. Give it some time and keep encouraging it with the knife. Works fine.
