Stuck dingy pump nozzle in dingy valve

I have a dingy pump nozzle stuck in the valve of my Mercury RIB. I'ts been in storage for several years but is in good condition. When attempting to inflate it I was unable to remove the pump nozzle from the dingy valve. I've even used, cautiously, plyers to turn and pull it out with no success. Any ideas?

I probably just screwed it in wrong and it bound up. I'll put a little dish soap on the nozzle when pumping up the remaining values.
