freeing a stuck centerboard, If you have a crank up type I took the pedstal out,you have to unwind the cable and I used a one half inch copper tubing to slide down where the cable goes to the center board,push the tubing or you may have to hit it to get it freed up so you can work it up and down , put the pedestal back on and crank it up , keep repeating process untill tired out and try again lol. lots of work good luck with it it worked for me I have to do it evey year, I understand that you have to remove the centerboard pivot pin which is in the keel and replace , tom
