My son and I were anchored in a cove. When we went to pull up the bow anchor it wouldnt budge. We both tried pulling on it while standing up in the front of the boat just behind the anchor locker and had no success (it was a Danforth Anchor). I had my son start the motor and move the boat upwind slowly to try and realease it from the other direction. We had no success and finally wound up pulling as much of the anchor line up to the boat and cutting it to relaease the stuck anchor. On returning to the marina I noticed a hairline crack on the front deck running fron the skylight above the front berth to a few inches from the anchor compartment (1987 Catalina) which had never been there. I'm not sure if its a stress crack or not and what problems could arise from it. How should I treat/repair it? Any help would be most appreciated Rick Sail No. 13856
