Wondering if anyone has encountered issues with skeg/strut bend? and any recommendations for sourcing a new skeg? Ours is bent, and looks like we will have to replace, so any guidance or suggestions would be welcome.
Thanks!

It is in the archives.

Here's a link to one of the archive entries. There are some others including the one referenced to Dave Wilson. Search the Forum Archives with keyword 'strut' and model 'H37C' to see them all. See Related Link below.

Thank you!!

Thank you so much Ed! Extremely helpful! We're going to call Dahmer tomorrow and see about getting a replacement strut. Really appreciate the quick response and the point in the right direction!

OK, I know that the 34 strut/skeg is not what you asked about, but last month, I had to change the strut on my '85 H 34 .. A phone call to Hunter and they gave me the manufacturer and the part number.. A call to them and it was in my hand in three days, with a Cutless bearing already in it for a 1" shaft. It was a Southeastern Foundries model 1503, and it had on the box, "31-34, 37'" But I would check with Hunter to verify the part number. Quite an experience to install since some of the bedding came out with the old top plate! It was $218 delivered. I had been quoted $600 to have a new one fabricated.

My skeg broke about 3 weeks ago. We were able to order one from a company in New Jersey. I don't have the name today but will get it for you by Tuesday or if you like email my repair people with your question at yachtriggers@hotmail.com Glenn or Steve should reply.
