Stripping Bottom Paint

[Dan Hunter 28.5]

I am in the process of stripping the bottom paint off my Hunter 28.5 sail boat. The two West Marine stores near me are out of the Total Boat Stripped. I purchased a stripper from Lowes and used it to strip a small section off the keel. It seems to work. My concern is that the stripper could somehow damage the hull. Should I wait for the total Boat Stripper or move forward with what I purchased at Lowes. Any help would be appreciated.

I did the same thing with TotalBoat's stripper. It ate through the topside paint that the PO put on the bottom and the bottom paint under that. It didn't hurt the gelcoat
