How do you tighten a screw on a thread that's been stripped? One of the screws of the inspection covers on my boat's mast can't be tightened because the hole thread has been stripped. Thanks!
For a quick fix and for just a cover I would use the size larger with a self tapping s/s screw. Fo a permanent repair,get the next size larger bolt and the drill and tap,redrill it and rethread it.
