Hi; I have only been Sailing for one season now and was wondering if anybody from the Milwaukee area is going to the Strickly Sail show in Chicago and wouldn't mind me tagging along. The wife and daughter would be bored and can't justify going by myself.

Take the train from Milwaukee
I go for 2 days (Friday & Saturday) and turn it into a great time for my wife and I. Many free and very interesting seminars for both of you to attend, dinner in Chicago and little "Blues". I ride the train in from Milwaukee to downtown Chicago, you can leave from the Amtrak station or the MKE airport and you get off at Union station in Chicago. Cab rides a cheaper than 2 days of parking. Priceline.com has great hotel deals. If you can't convince the Admiral, then make a one day trip with the Amtrak Hiawatha service. The return fare from the Milwaukee airport station is $40.00 (you can buy your ticket from the automatic teller at the station) and parking is $5.00 for the day.

Saturday, February 4th, a bus to Strictly Sail is being organized by Cramer Marine, 880 W. Canal Street, Milwaukee, WI 53233 (414) 272-5998. cramermarine@wi.rr.com. Pickup will be at Milwaukee Yacht Club. MAST,the Milwaukee Area Sail and Trail group, is getting a group together to go on the bus down to the show. Email glivermore@wi.rr.com MAST holds races every Friday night off the North gap. See http://www.mastracing.org/ My wife and I will be at the show Friday through Sunday. We are from New Berlin. We will be working the Hunter Owners table at the show on Saturday afternoon. Stop by and say hello. You should talk your wife and daughter into coming to the show.
