Just happened to be on the boat shortly after a very heavy rain, water on the deck in main cabin. Started looking and wiping and found that: The hatch portion attched to the deck was cracked in several places, one of which I could see daylight through. I guess it leaked, couldn't help it. Think a clean out of the cracks and some epoxy is the short term solution. Long term of course replace hatch. Sure hope it hasn't been soaking between the deck and the liner. Always wondered where the very little water in the bilge came from, a sponge full. Also checked fore hatch same problem but to a much lesser extent. Stabilized resin which the hatch is made of isn't stabilized for ever. But then maybe 20 years or so isn't so bad.Anybody have an idea where to get a strangely shaped h27 fore hatch. Bomar has a nice replacement for the 12.5 X 17.5 size as previously posted.
