I have been thinking of sailing under the Mackinac bridge from east to west but wonder how strong is the current going east?

Hey Chuck, It's no problem getting through there, we went to Mack. Isl. from Beaver Isl. and had a great time. I'm not sure where clear lake is but have fun!!

There is not any appreciable current in the Straits - the wind and it's effects on Lake water levels can be of more concern but mostly there isn't any problems related to current. Have a great trip - it is awesome sailing country. Bill Murray S/V Good Faith H29.5
