I have a Hunter 33[2005] and I'm thinking about buying a 10'8" porta-bote that folds up to 4".is there any reason I can't or shouldn't carry it crosswise somewhere and somehow on the transom, other than it looking strange.
I know that I can carry it forward where many carry their kayaks, but this would leave my walkways clear.
Any comments about site or the boat[bote] itself?
Thanks in advance.

When it's folded you can lash it to the lifelines and still have your walkway clear for traffic. Kayaks take up space that the folded boat does not.
I've owned mine for more than fifteen years and have never folded it. I find that towing it with the bow resting on the swim platform while under way makes the most sense. It is easy to tie in and deploy with virtually no effort spent. Also this towing procedure cost almost nothing in increased drag.
