Glue traps stick to things other than mice. Found that out at work. The little critter only got his front paws stuck and drug the trap around the office. I like the snap traps.

Traps

I Find Traps are the best, I use the traps with the yellow plastic bait station with peanut butter on, and when they quit coming I know I have them all.
Good Luck

Chocolate and Moth Balls

My mom always used a single chocolate chip melted to her mouse traps--very effective.

And while mothballs scare mice, they are bad for people--carcinogenic.

To keep them away, not if their on board downy dryer fabric sheets work great,I toss a few in storage areas on the boat closets ect,, and add some each month or two or at storage smell great guess they don't like it,and keeps them at bay

I always wrap the trap trigger with cotton string and coat it with peanut butter. They will attempt to chew the string. Just check the traps whenever you are on the boat.

SNAP!
I bait mine with summer sausage. Lift the little metal pin on the bait plate and pinch it down on the summer sausage. The bait will last for about 6 mice. Unless on of there buddies eats it after the snap.
It s that time of year. Time to set the trap line!
House was built in 1865 so it has the odd mouse access.

If I had the aggravating mouse in the boat, in would go the snake. A nice black snake, corn snake, or the best of all, the King Snake. The King is a snake to hold near and dear to ones' heart. And when he runs out of mousies, he will leave of his own accord. This is no big deal unless it's the King Snake, you don't wanna lose him. They're a helluva lot harder to find than an ol' black snake..

woody, the old timers in the boatyard say you should mix dry oatmeal with dry plaster of paris and leave the mix for the critters to eat. The plaster of paris will harden-up in the gut and will cause them to dry up like a mummy and die. The beauty of this is there is no stinking corpse to try and locate.

Or you could try leaving the traps "unloaded" but baited for a few days. This'll let the mice get used to the traps' presence, and puts 'em at ease.

Bwa-ha-ha...

The Humane Traps are Great

After I catch one I load the critter in my potato cannon and send them across the bayou. They must enjoy the trip as they keep coming back.

Is a glue pad another name for my wifes' kitchen table? This happens regularly..

Nah Zee, you are right. Crazy name for 'em, there's little "humane" about it. Maybe people just don't see blood in it, and figure they just went quietly in their sleep..
