I've talked about using stove-top ovens and stove-top grills on boats in previous threads and I've found them to be very useful on my boat. What I had neglected to mention about the stove-top grill is that certain meats such as hamburg can put out a lot of grease that can cause a flare up on these grills in the cabin of a boat. I have cooked hot dogs, steak, and other meats with no problem on my grill. I have even heated up pre-cooked hamburgs with no problem whatsoever. It's probably a good idea to have a large pot cover or damp towel handy, to throw over a stove flare up. So I just wanted to pass this info on to anyone who is contemplating on using these grills. They're great for cooking certain meats except hamburgs which produce a lot of grease that can cause a flare up.

You're probably right but it's hard to find room to store them on an O'Day 222 along with all the other stuff that I have on my boat. Oh well, I don't eat many hamburgers on my boat anyway. I can always buy the pre-cooked burgers that they distribute to restaurants from a company in the industrial park in my area. They are the best that I've ever eaten and there's no grease, no mess. I just wanted to make people aware of these stove-top grills because I've talked about them on this forum in the past. Will I keep using my stove-top grill? You bet I will, but not for cooking greasy hamburgs.
