Hello all, My 1986 P36-2 propane stove appears to be the original, however I have no information on the unit. This year I used the burners, however the stove would not light. The pilot light would light when I hit the ignition button, however the stove would never light. After about 15 minutes, I just turned it off. I tried this a couple of times with no luck. Any advice Greg

All marine propane stoves are equiped with

thermocouple protected safety valves. You must hold the knob in when you are lighting the burner. This turns the gas on, in turn the flame heats the thermocouple that latches a solenoid to hold the valve open. If the flame dies after 30 second of holding the knob, then you may,MAY have a bad thermocouple. or it may be a dirty burner that doesn't have a flame that touches the thermocouple.

Greg, Unless the previous owner replaced the stove, the stove is a Tasco. They can be reached at www.tauntonstove.com. The owner (can't remember his name right off) will probably answer your questions. He is a great guy. I asume your problem is with the oven as the top burners do not have a pilot. Dave
