I saw an add for a sleeve that passes around the furled jib and can be used to attach a storm jib. The add indicated that the nylon material would slide on the furled jib enabling the storm jib to be hoisted over the it. Has anyone tried this system? I have often sailed in winds exceding 25 knots and do not feel comfortable reefing the jib on the furler in these conditions. It does not set well and it places a lot of strain on the furling gear. Your comments are appreciated.
