Good morning all,
So sitting here on Block Island awaiting a storm. At anchor in 35 feet of water with 230 ft of chain / Rocna 55lb been here a week so set well and feel I’m not going to move. Typically I just bridle my dinghy and center it behind my boat…. Floating lines and all has been good. But I have seen pictures of peoples tenders flipping which makes me think maybe leave the engine on, open the drain and pull it out of the water a few feet…. I have an arch.
What is the preference of ye experienced sailors.
Thanks!

(I use the ratchet straps to cross-secure it when we go offshore. It doesn’t move an inch, even in 10 ft beam seas.)
