Storing Shrouds

I need to store my shrouds while I am painting my mast and did not want to leave them laying about in the yard. So I brought them home to give them a close inspection and cleaning. My plan is to store them coiled into about a 16" coil, making sure not to bend them, and then zip tying them in a couple of spots around the coil to keep it together.

Will keeping them coiled like this harm them in anyway?

What will damage them is being bent close to the swages, just be careful of that at all times.

I wouldn't be too focused on making the coils 16". The wire will tell you what it likes. Just go with that... it will probably be quite a bit larger.

Mine are in about 36" dia coils, zip tied in 4 places........don't forget to tag each coil too.
