I purchased a Starwind 223 earlier this year with a 8HP 2Cycle Johnson Outboard. Is it best to winter the boat with a tight cover over it or tent style, leaving the ends open? Better to remove the cushions and store in the house?

Thanks
George

Keeping anything dry and ventilated is the key to proper storage. This is true for hay or furniture. Wooden fishing boats kept very well without tight winter covers but when the yachtsmen started to fancy them up they also started to cover them and the boats started to rot early.

This is a depends question. What are wind conditions like where your boat will be laid up? How much snow/ice do you anticipate? The locals can give you better answers than we can.
