Storing Boom for trailering

O'day 20, does anyone somehow hook or hang the boom to mast when trailering or just throw in cabin?

In the cabin. It's very light and fits easily

I usually put it in the cabin, although I've also strapped it down on the deck a few times. On my Mac 26S, I'm working on a system to leave the boom on the mast when it comes down, but I believe I will need a support mid span on the mast because of the extra mass. It's not a big load, but you have to consider the dynamic loads while towing.
