Just purchased a 170. Does anyone have ideas about stowing gear (anchors, line, fenders, etc? I have a 2# Guardian anchor, just the right size, but I'm having trouble finding a bag with a padded bottom to protect the deck from the anchor.
I was thinking of adding some hooks in that area under the cover, on the side, to hang it. I also thought of putting it in a bag that hung in the same spot.
I put my Fortress #8 (danforth type) in a shoe bag (it's a piece of luggage that has a zipper around the bottom which allows the bag to be expanded in size)-- works perfectly. And the heavy "luggage" material is strong enough to withstand the anchor's points and chain. Mike G.
