storage of companionway hatch boards

This is more a question than an article. I am clueless as to an appropriate place to store my Catalina 30 companionway boards when the boat is open. Anything that I think of still seems to have them in my way. Any ideas?

Hatchboard bag

I usually toss the board in a bunk so that they're wedged in somewhere safe. Check out the link for a storage bag that's available on this site as well. Best, Trevor

hatch boards

going up the stairs, on your left against the wall, you can slip down all 3 boards. they snuggle aginst the wall and motor.

Companionway Board Storage

This is a great tip! I never noticed that spot. The only issue is I can't mount a fire extinguisher on the wall to the left, but so what. Having those boards out of way and secured is worth it! Thanks.

Board bag

I use the board bag available on Catalina Direct. After spending all the time to make them look nice, the bag keeps them from getting scratched.
