OMC and Heater
Lets say if you call 7 inches of snow on one day and -2 degrees that night and the town was shut down we shut down our co for the first time in 19 years, yea it gets cold. I was on the boat on sat had 3 lanterns and 1 heater (elec) running was down to T Shirt. If I was going to add a heater I think I would add a Force 10 Propane or a small wood burning stove we have 3 at our club. I think I would line the area around the area and put tile on the bottom, after measuring you could leave the area inder the sink as is,remove all that stuff behind the sink that is supposed to be some kind of storage and set the stove on top. The 2 inch pipe and the charle noble coud come out not to far and would look nice, the stove could be moved in the summer and if you needed a sink you could use a large plastic bucket.A friend of mine lived on a hunter 25,he ripped out the sink area and installed a VCR,Color Tv,Radio, lots of book storage since it was in front of the head as ours is he made him self a seat that would fit over the head and recline some with lots of padding, with the forward hatch open and the ports open he said he had the best of boath worlds. He lived on this boat in the keys for 10 years and died a happy man that was the best use of that area I have ever seen if some one else has done this let me know would like to have some photos, I am fixing my boat up to live on even if on the week ends the Doctors told me to slow down and find some else to do than work, when I told them what I was doing they sent me to a shrink after paying him 400.00 the cost of a good winch he said he thought it was a great idea and we could talk about it at our next session, he would like to have it on the boat, i told him to bring cash the for sail would be 400.00 and i did not take his insurance . Thanks for the reply Ron Thweatt
