I just purchased a 2000 Catalina 320 with a yanmar 27 H.P. engine. The throttle does not just push all the way to full , there is resistance and some spring back. Is this normal for this type of engine? But I did notice you could hold the lever for a moment and the throtle would hold that position. I sk because my 1995 Catalina 30 had a 27 H. P universal engine and the throttle could be pushed all the way and would stay open . I asume this to to protect the motor from excessive RPM'S.
