Steve, Tom just called me on cell from offshore about an overheating problem on the H31 that he just purchased. He started up the yanmar and ran her for 30 min. when the audible alarm came on. He has shut the motor down and is on a nice sail plan for Sand Diego. I had him check the strainer(clean)check the seacock(open). He has a 3 blade prop and was at 2300RPM when he got the alarm. He has a steady drip at the waterpump(weep-hole?)I suggested that he may have had something clogging his intake and that it was cleared when he stopped the motor. FYI..ran the engine for 30 min during purchase sail and no problem. Any thoughts on what the problem may be. Is the low oil audible alarm the same as the heat? Shoot me an e-mail and we can get on a phone..thanks.
