Question for Tom Payne (and thanks to Steve also)

Hi Tom: Are there any good boat ramps in the San Carlos Bay/Pine Island Sound area where I can leave my truck and trailer for a few days? I've visited the area several times by car and crewed once for a friend on a 46' Irwin. I'd like to do some gunkholing in the area early next year. My H23 draws less than 2-1/2 ft but the mast is 33 ft off the water. Do you have any suggestions for a good jumping-off point? I'd like to be as far down the Caloosahatchee as I can so I don't have to deal with the Miserable Mile. Thanks in advance. Peter H23 "Raven"

Peter in response to your question???

I moved to the Cape about 8 months ago and am still learning my way around. I know the Cape Coral Yacht Club has a ramp, but I do not know the rules there. Give hem a call at (941) 574-0809. You might also try the Cape Coral Power Squadron (941) 549-9754, or the Florida Marine Patrol at (941) 332-6966. I hope these guys are able to provide you with the best information possible. Tom P.S. What is the Miserable Mile???
