Mike, I have a 93 23.5 and it had the stern rail seats on it when I bought it. What I like about them: 1. big boat feature 2. I have a lifeline across the back between them, closes up the cockpit. 3. great place to sit when you need a good view close in front of the boat. 4. fun place to sit (for short periods) when you sail. 5. two more cupholders (one on the front of each) 6 they make a good back rest when you sit on the cockpit locker and lean on the seat, good forward seat. 7 good place to put things while at anchor (solar radio) 8. I have a bungee cord streched twice around the horizontal bars, and I stick the tiller extension in there and adjust for a poor man's autopilot. I don't like: 1. the bimini is right in your face when you sit up there. All in all, that is one of the things that attracted me to the boat, and I would not want to be without them. Absolutely . . .

I installed them on my 1993 235 this past summer. They are a good addition . . .I agree with Todd on the positives and have the same issue with my bimini. I saw a picture of a bimini mounted on the stern rail of a 260 at the Annapolis boat show and plan on finding one. Have fun getting your hands,5200,backing plates, nuts and wrenches into some really tight places . . .the result is worth it.

Yes to Stern Rails!

Mike; We recently purchased our 1993 23.5 and part of the purchase agreement was a set of stern rails seats, (I believe they were ordered through Hunter). We had sailed three times without them and this past week they were installed and we went out on Sunday, (exciting at 20 mph winds!). Kids had a great perch; sailing or not. The seats are a perfect spot for for eating lunch on during anchoring, & they provide extra security from "slippin' off the backside" Definitely worth it! G.T. Lowden s/v Serenity
